I DECIDED TO GET MYSELF OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE & GO TO BARBADOS FOR A SELF ENFORCED SONGWRITING RETREAT IN 2019. 44 HOURS LATER I ARRIVE, AUSTRALIA REALLY IS A WORLD AWAY! NO DISTRACTIONS, NO PHONE CALLS, NO FACEBOOK (FOR REAL), I SET UP MY PORTABLE STUDIO & GOT BUSY.
THE IDEA TO MAKE MY ALBUM IN MIND.

WHEN I RETURNED TO AUSTRALIA, THE OPPORTUNITY CAME UP TO BE PART OF APRA/AMCOS "STARTING GROUND" SONGWRITING WORKSHOP FOR ABORIGINAL & TORRES STRAIT ISLANDERS... THAT'S WHERE KAAYTEE, YEAHLAD & MYSELF MEET... THIS SONG IS ABOUT KNOWING & GROWING YOURSELF, STAYING MOTIVATED!! IT WAS BORN FROM THAT WORKSHOP. IT WAS ORGANIC & WE VIBED, SO YOU CAN EXPECT MORE FROM US IN THE FUTURE.
