“Beijos”, which means kiss in Portuguese, is my first creative collaboration with renowned UK producer & composer Justin Atherley.

Although on the surface “beijos” is a love song, its built on an political, historic & cultural reference. This film first introduced samba to the world stage & with its starring leads being
Afro Brazilian artists Marpessa Dawn and Breno Mello, was a bold political statement about race in the arts that's still relevant now.

Being a melting pot of multi-cultural heritage I found myself in the dream time of this film, sitting on the shores of the emerald coast of Brazil singing the melody to the sea back in 2009.

Its reminds me of the magic of life!

“BEIJOS” by Tamwah 2017

A million stars / sparkling in the sky A million more/ reflected in your eyes one tear of joy rolled down my cheek losing my grip on reality

Happily I swim out / into an indigo sky around the sun / youʼre so warm
two hearts beat as one

I had a dream I could kiss the moon
I wish that dream could come true real soon Your lips on mine / silver orb above
shining down on our summer love
shining down on our summer love

Easy like a summers breeze Easy when youʼre near to me you take my hand
No words we speak
Sailing off into the sea

Not coz of the things you do I really dig your flavour
I want to be with you
Boy open up your heart

Gentle like / coalescing mist Gentle like / loves first kiss We merge entwine / poetically theres no place / Iʼd rather be
theres no place / Iʼd rather be (La la la la lahhhh)
