about

The story behind the song...

Yep, it's time for a yarn, so get yourself comfy!!

Back in 2019, whilst visiting Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I woke up one morning to the sounds of the birds, looking out the window from high up in the mountains, the city sprawling off in the distance in one direction and trees everywhere else. The sun was shining, and I was feeling happy & then I turned on the news & saw reports of the Amazon burning out of control.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. WTF!!! Thanks to greedy corrupt corporations, the "lungs" of our planet are on fire!!

My heart broke open at that moment, I cried a lot that day, grieving for the spirit of the Amazon, for the Indigenous peoples that call the Amazon home and for the rivers, plants & animals. Have you ever felt so angry & so sad at the same time? it's a gnarly feeling, that I know can bring down my frequency. Which doesn't help anyone or anything, right!! So, I went for a long walk. Seeking solutions & guidance I walked up a mountain & sat by a freshwater stream in the rainforest. Singing in nature from my spirit brought me back into alignment. Nature nurtured me!! Nature reminded me we are all connected; we are from nature; it's crucial we remember now!

lyrics

Tamwah_“AMAZONIA” Lyrics

(pre-chorus)

Daaah doo daaaah dadadooahh

(chorus)
What will be
Will be
Will be
Well I guess we can agree
There ain’t no planet B
So we best be planting trees

(verse)
Plant a seed
Watch it grow
It’s good for the earth
It’s good for your soul
Nurture nature to know yourself
No Google or YouTube can improve your health
Like when you hug a tree and breathe as one
Get your vitamin D straight from the sun
I just wanna dance
Feel the breeze
Hang out with my homies!

But when the rainforest keeps
Burning ’n’ Burning ’n’ BURNING
The Lessons of Life
We should be learning & learning
Living in union
Communion with mother nature
Coz she’s the only one
who can save us!!

(Bridge)
It’s not too late to turn this mother lover around

(pre-chorus)

Daaah doo daaaah dadadooahh

(chorus)
What will be
Will be
Will be
Well I guess we can agree
There ain’t no planet B
So we best be planting trees

(verse)
